A form of Fluorite with bands of purple-blue or yellowish colour.

In the UK it is found only at Blue John Cavern & Treak Cliff Cavern in the Peak District National Park, 

Castleton, Derbyshire, England.

Also called Fluorspar, a mineral form of Calcium Fluoride. Pure Fluorite is colourless and transparent, impurities within usually make it a colourful mineral.
