Araucaria Arucana (or Monkey Puzzle Tree)

Araucaria Arucana or as it is commonly called Monkey Puzzle Tree, is an evergreen tree native to Chile and Argentina, with fossil Araucaria from the Triassic Period found in Madagascar.

Why it has the nick name Monkey Puzzle Tree, is believed to of come from a barrister called Charlie Austin, who remarked, "It would puzzle a monkey to climb that” which led to the species receiving the Monkey Puzzler, then Monkey Puzzle name. Whether this is a true fact some may argue.
